Gem and Jam Workshops

Crystal Contraception
Lead by: Cynthia Moonflower
Botanicals have been used as tools for natural child birth control from ancient times to modern science. In this open circle, we explore cycle-tracking methods, holistic methods for reproductive regulation and make our own spermacidal lubricant using organic coconut and neem oil! Learn about womb-care botanicals while infusing these oils with crystalline intentions, clarity, body awareness, sacred sexuality and liberation.

The Plant Based Paste Party
Explore, incorporate and and design ideal superfrood recipes into your festival life with a playshop based on botanical healing paste! Learn how to blend adaptogenic, aphrodisiac and relaxing herbal pastes using all natural seed butters, honey and cacao! Medicine never tasted so divine.

Sacred Plants for Lucid Consciousness
The ethno-botany of Central America and Africa is abundant in sacred and ancient phyto-oneirogens: plants used ritually for exploration and divination within the dream realm. From Calea zachatechichi of the Chontol to Sinicuichi of the Aztec to Silene capensis of the Xhosa; humans express a biological and mystical desire to enhance the lucidity of dream phenomena. Learn about cultural practices, safe usage, and the sorcerous beauty of wise oneiric plants, essential oils, and resins. Craft and take home a dream pillow with mysticalintentions after the wisdom sharing, or just come to the class and learn!!

DanceSafe
Dance-Safe
DanceSafe’s mission is to promote health and safety within the nightlife and electronic music communities. Since 1998, the 501(c)(3) public health organization has provided harm reduction information and services at events to encourage people to make informed decisions. DanceSafe has two fundamental operating principles: harm reduction and peer-based education. Combining these two principles has enabled the organization to create successful, peer-based educational programs to reduce drug misuse and empower young people to make healthy, informed lifestyle choices. DanceSafe neither condones nor condemns drug use. Rather, they provide a non-judgmental perspective to help support people who use drugs in making informed decisions about their health and safety. DanceSafe volunteers staff harm reduction booths at music festivals, raves, nightclubs, and other electronic dance music (EDM) events to ensure positive experiences.

    Current Programs and Initiatives Aim to:

  • Provide safe spaces to engage in conversations about health, drug use, and personal safety;
  • Provide free water and electrolytes to prevent dehydration and heatstroke;
  • Provide free safe sex tools to avoid unwanted pregnancies and the spread of STIs;
  • Provide free ear plugs to prevent hearing loss;
  • Provide honest, fact-based, unbiased information on drug effects and potential harms to empower users to make informed decisions;
  • Offer a nonjudgmental first-point of contact to risky or challenging situations;
  • Offer drug checking services to prevent overdose and death; and
  • Work with promoters and local stakeholders to advocate for safety first approaches.
