Born in Taiwan to a rocket scientist father and kindergarten teacher mother, David Y Wang makes his own brand of electronic music under the alias “Mochipet.” He has been spotted touring throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia; oftentimes in a purple Godzilla suit. You might have heard his music featured in video games with the Beastie Boys, or performed by a 20-piece orchestra at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Eclectic is an understatement for his collaborations, as he has worked with everyone from Legendary Skateboarder/Musician Ray Barbee, to Techno Queen Ellen Allien, Jazz drummer Weasel Walter, and Mashup DJ Z-Trip.
