It is curious why Mochipet named his latest Mashup/Remix Album: “10 REASONS TO LOVE HATE LOVE HATE DUBSTEP” considering there are 16 tracks on this release and many of them are not even technically considered Dubstep, but what we do know is that it is a collection of hard hitting Remixes from our Godzilla like Beatsmith from the San Francisco Bay Area, some old, some new, some unreleased but all worth checking out. The remixes range from Hip-Hop to Hipster to straight up well… Def Leppard! Mochipet makes these beats his bitch and you’ll be hard pressed to find one you don’t “Love” or “Hate” or is it a “Love Hate” relationship? This Kid from Taiwan doesn’t look like hes more than Sixteen years old. Just cause hes young doesn’t mean that he cant hang with the big boys. His sound is just about as unique as it comes. This song really shows that he is absolutely stepping up his game. I would not be surprised if you start seeing this dude around a lot more. Make sure you listen to the mix he just dropped also. Its like nothing I have ever heard before.

Born in Taiwan R.O.C. to Rocket Scientist father and Kindergarten Teacher mother, David Wang (a.k.a.Mochipet) has been tinkering with electronics since he was a child. A Remix for The Bins Single “Inspiration” Featuring Big Sole from Anticon. I switched up the tempo (115bpm) and formula on this one. I wanted to do something with big bass that I could play out but still a little bit on the weird side. I wanted to bring back some of the mid-tempo jamz that seems to be missing so much in today’s heavy Dubstep and New Electro Songs. Added a little bit of old school 808 electro to top it off. To celebrate the release of Mochipet’s new record “Chicxulub” which came out on STS9’s 1320 Records 8/16, he chose to give one lucky fan a chance to win a Mochipet Grassroots hat before they go on sale to the public.
