Mochipet’s latest release on 1320 Records ‘Chicxulub’, is the soundtrack for an animated novel in which the Dinosaurs make their way through the impact of the comet believed to have destroyed them. The album starts off with a highly compressed glitch-hop bass number ‘Dinosaur Anthems’ signaling the dark that is arriving along to where ‘Yoshi’s Dinosaur Egg Hunt’ guides you through Fraggle Rawk-style landscapes in search of the young that are left to live on. The Dinosaurs eventually leave the planet, taking off in their ‘Pterodactyl Spaceship’ to new undiscovered lands. But they do not make it out easily; there are a number of alien life forms that have invaded in ‘The Battle of Dinotropolis’ (Featuring Ben Samples). With everything destroyed all that is left are ‘Fossils’ and our prehistoric creatures are left to find ‘A Home Away From Home.’ So ‘Ghost Ride The Ark’ to Outer Space we go! Whether our Dino friends make it to their new homes is unsure as ‘I Really Don’t Think We Are Ok ACE.’ The Saga is To Be Continued…

ARTIST: Samples TITLE: Drop Bombs The Remixes LABEL: Daly City Records CAT-NO: DCR159 FORMAT: Digital Release RELEASE DATE: 02/22/2011
Since the release of Ben Sample’s chart toping “Snowstorm” album last year, on Daly City Records, it is obvious that the bass grinding track “Drop Bombs” has been a staple in the glitch-hop and heavy bass communities. It is only fair that a remix album followed. With remixes by Mochipet, Freddy Todd, Sovereign Sect, Stephan Jacobs, Psymbionic, Chris B, Sugarpill, Dan K, and Samples himself there is more then enough for everyone! These remixes range between the 80-140bpm range; but all of them contain very heavy bass lines and jaw dropping builds. Ready to detonate any sub-woofers in its path, the Drop Bombs Remixes should NOT be played in the Chill Room! *why don’t they do chill rooms anymore?

Mochipet Remixes Oakland’s Hottub into heavy bass and twerky synths in the name of the now decessed Energy Death drink Four Loko!
WASHINGTON — The manufacturer of popular caffeinated alcohol drink Four Loko said Tuesday it will remove the caffeine from its products, pulling the blend off the market just as the Food and Drug Administration is poised to ban it. Phusion Projects said in a statement posted on its website that the company will remove caffeine and two other ingredients from its products going forward. The announcement came as the FDA is expected to find as early as Wednesday that caffeine is an unsafe food additive to alcoholic drinks. That finding essentially would ban Four Loko and other drinks like it. The FDA ruling “should be the nail in the coffin of these dangerous and toxic drinks,” Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has pushed the Obama administration to ban the beverages, said Tuesday. Federal regulators would not confirm Schumer’s announcement that a ban was imminent, but Four Loko’s statement suggests the company believed it had little choice but to reformulate its drinks.
