One or Three will be released every month until 2303 (really?). We are looking forward to some interesting sounds coming our way! Already slotted are tracks from Nit Grit, Kanizzle, Graz, El Diablo, Josh Decker, YobKiss, Lamebot, Mangangs, The Flying Skulls, and MadSavvy with some things in the works from Otto Von Schirach, Richard Devine, and edIT (Glitch Mob) this is a good cause to be a part of! And best of all; all proceeds will to MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) to further the study of Psychedelics and how it can benefit humanity!

David Y Wang (aka Mochipet) has been a major pioneer in the last decade of electronic music. Starting out in the world of experimental IDM, his expansive style quickly moved to the fields of Breakcore, Hip-Hop, Techno, House, Dubstep, Trap, and now Glitch-Hop. His sounds have traveled the world like a SR-71 Blackbird dropping mushroom clouds of kaleidoscopic eargasms where you would least expect it. A complete discography is nearly impossible (the man seriously has more side projects then Robin Thicke has lawsuits right now) but this is an extensive library of what David has put out in the recent years; Contained you will find a catalog of his work plus previously unreleased mashups, originals, collaborations, and remixes from the Beastie Boys, Black Sabbath, Boreta & edIT of The Glitch Mob, Daedelus, E40, Ellen Allien, Far East Movement, K.Flay, Kraddy, NastyNasty, NiT GriT, Machinedrum, Outkast, The Polish Ambassador, R. “Rawr Means I Love You” the long awaited Mochipet album is finally here, and it is quite a journey. In traditional Mochipet fashion the album runs the gamout from Electro to Disco to Dubstep to Dancehall and everything not in between! In a world of one-hit singles Mochipet wanted to create something different: “I wanted to create a very eclectic album as I usually do but this time I wanted ever song to have a cohesive link to each other, I wanted it to take you through a journey as you listened through the album.” And quite the journey it is, songs like “Beast” and “Whomp-a-saurus Sex” showcases the staple Mochipet styles of heavy bass and dense drumkits but “Swimming in the Seas of Galaxies” and “Space Between Time” are more melody based and show a more introspective side of David’s repritoire. Songs like “Dionysys Synthony” and “Black Hole Sunrise” even have a cinematic feel, incorpoarting multi-part harmonies more commonly used in Jazz and Classical Music. As with any Mochipet album there is a strong Hip-Hop influence. “Spark” which features a cameo from ex-Def Jux’s member MrLif, to be released later, takes you back to a time when lo-fi samples and found sounds we’re the creative dominance over over-hyped drum machines and Swag. Through out the Time Travels and Black Hole Sunrises the album offers a path of encouragement in today’s declining economy and end of the world landscapes, as a journey outward may indeed be just a journey inward. Or as the Speak and Spell like voice on the title track suggests: “Life, I know it’s rough but just because the world is messed up does not mean you have to be too.”

Daly City Stencils Found in France!

Our friend Dylan Just sent us this documentary of Blek Le Rat Stencil Pioneer in France and there was some Daly City Stencils spotted around (21:55 – 21:59). We are proud to be represented here <3

British graffiti artist Banksy has acknowledged Blek’s influence stating “every time I think I’ve painted something slightly original, I find out that Blek Le Rat has done it as well, only twenty years earlier.”^[7] The two have expressed mutual desire for collaboration; in 2011, Blek was seen adding to a mural begun the previous year by Banksy in the Mission District, San Francisco.^[8]

His proposal is specifically political, and if you know even at some of the names of the musicians involved you will see that everything is more than real, that are putting force into a target clear and thus are making an important contribution. The roster is composed by Dj Vadim, Filastine, Quantic, Mochipet, Natasha Kmeto, The Polish Ambassador, Resident Anti-Hero, Octopus Nebula, Ott, Ott & The All-Seeing I, Ill-Esha, Emancipator, Alex B, Anomie Belle, Blietech, Conduits, Cry Wolf, Dr Israel, Etheric Double, Intelepaths, Invisible Allies, Little People, Marley Carroll, Papadosio, Paper Diamond, Paper Tiger, Phutureprimitive, Pnuma Trio, Random Rab, The Great Muandane, The Nadis WarriorsYppah and Unlimited Gravity.

Last November 28 have released their second compilation for so-called free descent “Array Vol 2″, which contains tracks from all of their artists.” As it is logical, because the reason that unites all of these names is not a musical line but an eagerness in common, styles that handles are the most heterogeneous. On this album they may listen to hip hop, house, future step, indie hop, IDM, synth hop, trip hop, dubstep, reggae dub, techno pop and electro. But mysteriously this stylistic explosion runs evenly. The disk draws a journey that will unveil the adventure of track in track.

Mochipet Symphonic Showcar

Born in Taiwan to a rocket scientist father and kindergarten teacher mother, David Y Wang aka Mochipet’s music has traveled the globe from Europe to Asia and everything in between. With many overseas and US tours his music has been featured in Videos Games with the Beastie Boys as well as performed by a 20-piece orchestra at New York’s Carnegie Hall. David sees no boundaries in music, which is why he has worked with everyone from Professional Skateboarder Ray Barbee, to Techno Queen Ellen Allien, Jazz drummer Weasel Walter, of The Flying Luttenbachers, and Mashup DJ Z-Trip. Recently you may have heard his songs dropped by DJs such as Bassnectar. He just finished a tour with Sound Tribe Sector 9 and is currently in the studio working on his new release “Rawr Means I Love You” Due out in 2012!

Vamos a arrancar con toda la fuerza del espíritu africano, ese ser golpeado que indiferente a la afrenta continúa festejando a puro el ritmo y alegría. Que mejor manera de encarar el martes con la reversión de sonidos de África que hacen los The Busy Twist, dúo de UK que produce una peculiar y equilibrada mezcla entre sonidos bass y folklore del continente negro.

Les compartimos “Floor Excitement EP”, su última edición, y el track “Ldn Luanda”, el cual han liberado hace poquito para bajada gratuita.

Ya que estamos revisando la visión electrónica de los ritmos africanos, vamos a visitar a Paris a Dj Mo-Laudi y le robamos de su soundcloud dos tracks buenísimo. El primero, es el remix que hizo de “Yapa”, de Le Pas Sage. Bella pieza melancólica, como la foto de un lugar colorido en el cual todavía el hombre habla con la tierra. Y “Secousse” de Secousse All stars, un kuduro energético como para ponerse a saltar.

Luego cambiamos de latitud, y nos vamos a escuchar la tremenda colaboración que han compuesto Mc Zulu y Mochipet, dos artistas que admiramos. Han llamado ska bass a este extraño estilo que producen en “Year of The Dragon (Ska Rmx)”… y si, puede ser…. la cuestión es que nunca nos hubiéramos imaginado la voz de Mc Zulu sobre un track tan rocker… y ¡menos a Mochipet haciendo esa base! Como sea, festejamos el desprejuicio de estos amigos, por que gracias a ello han producido un track veraniego que va a estar sonando en nuestras cabezas por varios meses.
