Tyrannosaurus Rex?? No… Mochipet!! The bass-ballin’ prehistoric brainchild of David Wang, Mochipet (1320 Records) has become a household name among all connoisseurs of womp. Accumulating a huge following across the US and Europe, Wang has been dominating dance floors while reppin’ a purple dino-suit.

Showing the love to all of his fans on Valentine’s Day, Mochipet released another remix of an STS9 song: this time, “Scheme”. If you haven’t heard Wang’s first STS9 remix, “When The Dust Settles”, then be sure to check it out below. Enjoy the tunes!!

It is curious why Mochipet named his latest Mashup/Remix Album: “10 REASONS TO LOVE HATE LOVE HATE DUBSTEP” considering there are 16 tracks on this release and many of them are not even technically considered Dubstep, but what we do know is that it is a collection of hard hitting Remixes from our Godzilla like Beatsmith from the San Francisco Bay Area, some old, some new, some unreleased but all worth checking out. This Kid from Taiwan doesn’t look like hes more than Sixteen years old. Just cause hes young doesn’t mean that he cant hang with the big boys. His sound is just about as unique as it comes. This song really shows that he is absolutely stepping up his game. I would not be surprised if you start seeing this dude around a lot more. Make sure you listen to the mix he just dropped also. Its like nothing I have ever heard before.

Mochipet’s latest release on 1320 Records ‘Chicxulub’, is the soundtrack for an animated novel in which the Dinosaurs make their way through the impact of the comet believed to have destroyed them. The album starts off with a highly compressed glitch-hop bass number ‘Dinosaur Anthems’ signaling the dark that is arriving along to where ‘Yoshi’s Dinosaur Egg Hunt’ guides you through Fraggle Rawk-style landscapes in search of the young that are left to live on. The Dinosaurs eventually leave the planet, taking off in their ‘Pterodactyl Spaceship’ to new undiscovered lands. But they do not make it out easily; there are a number of alien life forms that have invaded in ‘The Battle of Dinotropolis’ (Featuring Ben Samples). With everything destroyed all that is left are ‘Fossils’ and our prehistoric creatures are left to find ‘A Home Away From Home.’ So ‘Ghost Ride The Ark’ to Outer Space we go! Whether our Dino friends make it to their new homes is unsure as ‘I Really Don’t Think We Are Ok ACE.’ The Saga is To Be Continued…
